The sun was shining – but thankfully not too much, we avoided the threatened 40° heat! – for the York Stamp & Coin Fair in July which helped to attract an impressive crowd to the event. The grandstand was buzzing with the sound of collectors and hobbyists perusing the dealers’ stock and we had a steady flow of visitors with inherited stamp collections that they were keen to have valued. And for visitors who came on Saturday with partners who were not so interested in stamps or coins, there was an enormous car boot sale in the field next door to keep them entertained. A good day out for all!
See you again in January!KEEP READING

We were very excited to be able to invite everyone back to the York Stamp & Coin Fair at the end of January. It’s been two, long years since the last fair and there was a definite sense of anticipation as we prepared to open the doors to the Grandstand again. Inevitably, there were a few regular stand holders missing (most of whom will be back in July) but we also had some new faces that we were delighted to welcome. And, happily, we had a good visitor turn out, looking either to make purchases or get a valuation for their collections – both of which the stand holders were more than happy to assist with!
All things considered, we were really pleased with the way the fair went and look forward to seeing you all again in July!
It was fantastic to be able to welcome back our regular dealers and customers, as well as some new faces, to the Strand Stamp Fair on 9th July. As we still had to conform to Covid social distancing regulations there were inevitably some changes to normal proceedings, but this didn’t seem to detract from everyone’s enjoyment of the day. And the enormous TV screen set up in the hotel’s courtyard outside meant visitors could watch Wimbledon tennis if they felt like a break!
We look forward to seeing you all again at the next fair on 3rd September.KEEP READING
