WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU SOON IN YORK AND LONDON

COVID-19 UPDATE

We are looking forward to welcoming you back to the Strand Stamp Fair at the Royal National Hotel on Friday 9th July, 9am-3pm.

Please have a look at our news page before you arrive for details of how we can keep everyone safe at the fair.

We are, however, reluctantly cancelling the York Stamp & Coin Fair scheduled for 16-17th July. Unfortunately, the continuing social-distancing restrictions make it impossible for us to run the fair successfully.  We hope to be back in January 2022.

Who we are... a long journey which began in 1969

... more than 50 years of stamp show experience!

Organised by Trevor Davis Partnership (York and the Strand) and Chris Rainey (York), both internationally renowned names in the world of Postal History, this portfolio of fairs featuring all things philatelic and numismatic, has been the success story of the last 50 years. The Strand Stamp Fair has been held in London since 1969, whilst the two-day York Stamp & Coin Fair has been running twice a year since the 1980s.
The current organisers (Chris Rainey and Kate Puleston) are committed to providing a relaxed and friendly environment, where visitors can sit down and browse through UK and international dealers’ stock at their leisure.
And of course, entrance is free!
We look forward to seeing you at the next Fair.

frequently asked questions

Is car parking available at the fairs?

There is free parking on the road and in designated car parks at York racecourse.
At the Strand Stamp Fair in London, there is a paid car park beneath the Royal National Hotel, which is also close to many bus routes and Russell Square tube station (Piccadilly line).

Do you charge entry for your fairs?

No, entry is completely free to both the Strand Stamp Fair and York Stamp & Coin Fair.

Is food & drink available at the fairs?

At the York Stamp & Coin Fair there is a cafe offering hot & cold food and drinks throughout the day, as well as a bar on the 1st floor.
The Royal National Hotel, where we hold the Strand Stamp Fair, has a number of food venues in-house and there are bars, restaurants and cafes to suit all requirements in the area surrounding the hotel.

Will I be able to sit down to look at a dealer’s stock?

Yes, we aim to make your visit as comfortable as possible, so all our dealers have their stock on tables so you can pull up a chair and sit down.

When is the best time to visit the Strand Stamp Fair?

The fair is open to the public between 9am and 3pm. Please note, however, that while these are the published opening hours, as some of our dealers travel long distances to get to London, they may leave earlier than these times.  It’s best to visit well before the closing time.

I’ve inherited a stamp collection but but don’t know how to find out if it has any value.

Please bring the collection, or a sample of it if it is large, to one of our fairs and you will find many dealers and auction house representatives who will be happy to give you a valuation. The same applies to collections of coins, postal history, medals etc.
