Organised by Trevor Davis Fairs (York and the Strand) and Chris Rainey (York), both internationally renowned names in the world of Postal History, this portfolio of fairs featuring all things philatelic and numismatic, has been the success story of the last 50 years. The Strand Stamp Fair has been held in London since 1969, whilst the two-day York Stamp & Coin Fair has been running twice a year since the 1980s.
The current organisers (Chris Rainey and Kate Puleston) are committed to providing a relaxed and friendly environment, where visitors can sit down and browse through UK and international dealers’ stock at their leisure.
And of course, entrance is free!
We look forward to seeing you at the next Fair.
No, entry is completely free to both the Strand Stamp Fair and York Stamp & Coin Fair.
At the York Stamp & Coin Fair there is a cafe offering hot & cold food and drinks throughout the day, as well as a bar on the 1st floor.
The Royal National Hotel, where we hold the Strand Stamp Fair, has a number of food venues in-house and there are bars, restaurants and cafes to suit all requirements in the area surrounding the hotel.
Yes, we aim to make your visit as comfortable as possible, so all our dealers have their stock on tables so you can pull up a chair and sit down.
The fair is open to the public between 9am and 3pm. Please note, however, that while these are the published opening hours, as some of our dealers travel long distances to get to London, they may leave earlier than these times. It’s best to visit well before the closing time.
Please bring the collection, or a sample of it if it is large, to one of our fairs and you will find many dealers and auction house representatives who will be happy to give you a valuation. The same applies to collections of coins, postal history, medals etc.
